Game Notes
This is the 29th time these two teams play, but the first since 1991 (regular season match). Bama leads the series 17-11, but the Gators have won the last three games and six of seven. The last four games have been SEC Title games with Florida winning 3 of 4 (that one they lost Bama went on to win a National Title). Steve Spurrier is 5-1 as a head coach and Bama has not been much in the last two years.
Florida is going to Tuscaloosa to play a team that got blown out by lowly Arkansas. Alabama will be fired up, but I believe the Gators will score 4 to 5 times and blowout the Tide. The Florida Gators need to start picking up their stride and get ready for tough SEC games in LSU/Auburn/Georgia.
Travis McGriff and Jevon Kearse will continue to shine on both sides of the ball, and Coach Spurrier will continue his QB shuffle. Not sure if this is a long term solution, but its working so far. Look for Terry Jackson to be more secure with the ball and get his 100+ yards.
