Their QB coach is John Reaves, a former UF graduate who completed a great career at UF in 1971. At that time he was the NCAA's all-time passing leader with 7,549 yards. He was under the Spurrier regime from 1990-1994 when he left to pursue the job with the South Carolina Chickens. He gets the credit for finding Danny Wuerffel.

I expect that this will be another tight game for the Gators at first. With a crowd that knows that Gators are not the "old mighty SEC power" of the past, they will be hostile. The best thing that Coach Spurrier can do is use a two set-back offense and pitch to Taylor and Carrol all day long. South Carolina has a marginally ranked defense (middle of the road in SEC rannkings), and they barely got by some of their weaker opponents. They did score 35 on Vandy on their field, so they have the capacity to score and have the 3rd best turnover ratio.

Noah Brindise must stay away from the mistakes and rely on the running game. As much as Steve Spurrier hates that offensive style, he must accept his teams faults and try to run it up the "gut" of USC.

The Gators will be focused and ready. They know this would all but eliminate any honor in our title and will come out victorious. The Gators in another ugly one 24-13.
