Series Games and Notes
| After last
weeks loss, expect Doug Johnson and the Gators to gain
some experience and come out with fire. Remember, this
group does not want to be the ones remembered as the ones
that gave up the SEC Title. Stoops Troops will be fired
up and will be all over AUB QB D. Craig. This is pretty
much the same that Florida played last year and Florida
won 51-10 in the Swamp. However, I expect Terry Bowden to
take a few lessons from the LSU game and run some of
those Full-back draws. These two teams have met 73 times with Auburn holding a 39-32-2 edge over the Gators. This rivalry is the second longest behind the Bulldogs. Jordan-Hare Stadium has not been friendly to the Gators as they are 6-23-1 and have won only 3 of the last 10 times at Auburn. The most memorable victory was in 1985 when Kerwin Bell threw the ball to stretched Ricky Nattiel to score the winning touchdown. The Gators won 14-10. Terry Bowden is on the hot seat to win this years SEC title so this is an "All-or-Nothing" game for the War Eagle of Auburn (why can't they decide on a mascot??). I expect the Gators to come away with a difficult win in a shoot-out 42-37. We can't afford to make mistakes and more discipline is needed to prevent the sacks and penalties that killed us against LSU. |
