Series Games and Notes

This will be the fourth game between the "Hogs" and the Gators with the first ever in The Swamp. Florida leads the series 2-1. The only Razorback win was a 28-24 victory in the Bluebonnet bowl in Houston, TX in 1982. Since the Razorbacks joined the SEC, they have met twice with Florida. the Gators have beat the Hogs in the SEC title game 34-3 and last year at Arkansas 42-7.

Not much history between these teams, but the coaches go back with plenty of ACC history. Ford coached Clemson (Duke's biggest rival) when Steve Spurrier was with Duke in the late 80s.

Arkansas had a big upset win at Alabama, but lost to WAC "bottom feeder" Southern Methodist 31-9. So they are inconsistent, but can get up for the big game. Look for the Gators to keep it simple and not disclose any tricks in preparation for the tough mid-season road stretch of LSU, AU, UGA.

This will be an old fashioned Swamp Route. The Gators will score 4 to 5 touchdowns in the first half which will allow the Gators to empty the bench.... AGAIN!! I predict a big Florida victory 58-21 with Arkansas getting two touchdowns in the fourth quarter against the third string Florida defense in for a "mop-up" job.
