Series Games and Notes

This is the 48th time Florida plays the University of Kentucky Wildcats. A school known for its basketball tradition, have lost 10 in a row to the Gators and overall the Gators lead the series 30-17(16 of last 17 games won byb the Gators) . Last year Florida humiliated former Kentucky (and former boss of Steve Spurrier at Georgia Tech) Coach Bill Curry (now a TV analyst) 65-0 in the Swamp.

UK and the crowd at Commonwealth Stadium (I will be there!!) will be fired up as the "Mildcats" are up and coming. With new coach Hal Mumme and QB tim Couch, his passing attack ranks high in all SEC and National categories. However, look for Florida D. to come up big. Fred Weary and Teako Brown will have an interception a piece and Tim Couch will be exposed. His Heisman honeymoon will be over as the Gators destroy an overrated UK team that has beaten Indiana and Louisville (far from Top 25 caliber and at the bottom of their weak conferences) and lost to lowly Mississippi State.

This is the first road game for the Gators, and UK has a four game home winning streak. This will not deter the Gators. They will be prepared and Coach Spurrier will not let this hype (UK has done a great job at convincing CBS and the media) or the UK trash talkers get in their way.

I predict a big Florida win 41-17 as Spurrier eases up in the fourth quarter and lets the entire team play against Tim Couch, who like Peytiepie will get his numbers(300+ yards, a couple of TDs), but not the "W".
